Guy served for 14 years in the Israel Defense Forces where his last position was the Chief of Command of the Technology Unit of the Department of Military Intelligence. For his exceptional work in this field, he received the most revered Israel Defense Prize.

Guy has also served as the Director of Technology of the Israeli National Security Council and the Secretary for the National Committee for Cyber Protection. He was an active member of the Counter Terrorism Bureau, and in addition participated in projects with the US Department of Defense's DARPA, and the Technical Support Working Group (TSWG)..

Guy  holds a B.Sc. in Management and Production Engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology where he also trained in Mechanical Engineering and Physics.
